Article Module (paused as scheduled - re-release expected April 16)
March 12, 2012

As per the March 2 posting below, we have had a great response to the article submission module, and have reached the number of campaigns necessary to perform debugging. As is common with new software, we have a few changes necessary in order to move it past beta. We are working on these changes quickly in order to turn it make live for members.

We will post an update on this page as soon as it is back live. It will remain visible in your dashboard during the debugging process.

New Article Submission Module (BETA) - Now Live!
March 2, 2012

This module is now live for Pro members in beta until ~March 12. The goal is to have members run enough campaigns so that we can watch them and debug as necessary. Then we will announce a reopening of the module shortly after.

Each site you choose to submit to is just 2 credits.

The training page will also be updated, but here is a direct link: http://synnd.com/article-distribution/. Please take the time to review this page before submitting a campaign. During beta testing, each Pro member can submit 1 campaign per day. Please report any issues to the support desk.

After testing is complete in 2-4 weeks, we do plan to release to Enterprise customers

Google +1 Module
We have taken the Google Plus module offline due to a known technical issue with this network. About two months ago, we saw +1 counts jumping around daily. It resolved itself in about two weeks. We are now seeing it happen again, and even Google's own analytics do not match widget counts. Rather than risk upsetting members, we are going to make it inactive until we see that this stabilizes. It is our every intention to bring this back as soon as Google resolves the situation. The site will show "site inactive" until such time.

Our plan will be to provide Facebook Likes at least equal to the credit value used for previously earned +1s. Any +1s that return after Google's correction will just be free.

Other Recent SYNND Updates

1. New Credits Charge Multiplier:
On Dec 13th we're updating the SYNND credits system with a multiplier of 10, which means that all credits in the system will be multiplied by 10. You will NOT lose any promotional power through this change. It will help us to have a more fine-grained credits break-down and will allow us to charge intermediate level credits that are not possible within the old credit system. For example we're going to lower Facebook promotion credits from 3 to 2.5. In the old system we cannot easily administer this change, as we have no factor for a point 5 increment. However, by multiplying all credits by 10 we are able to charge 25 credits for a Facebook like, which is the exact equivalent of 2.5 in the old system.

This change will also allow us to adjust credits based on the value of each site. Some networks are more valuable than others so we are going to try to create a more “market value” approach. Applying credits in this manner will normally mean a reduction in cost for you. Soon we will begin to apply credit adjustments based on the value of the site (e.g. bookmarking to charge between 4 to 10 credits, depending on the rank of the bookmarking site).

We also need this credit change to accommodate the upcoming new article submission module. If we use the current system we will not be able to lower the cost for these submissions as we desire. We believe that once you see the benefits and cost savings you will quickly become a fan of this change.

2. Facebook Increments and Max Limits

We have taken steps with our Facebook module to make the promotional process more efficient. You will select increments of 10, 25, 50, 100, and 250 and these numbers will represent a TWO DAY total. So, if you select 10 these will be delivered over two days. Also, all existing campaigns will be adjusted to the closest value. So if you have 7 it could go up to 10.

NOTE: These campaigns will be processed through SYNND differently than other modules. They will be in progress as soon as the QC has approved the campaign, HOWEVER, the process of delivery and confirmation of delivery will take up to 4 days. So you will not need to submit a ticket if you do not see your Likes registering on your dashboard a few days after setting up the campaign. It takes longer to verify completion, and we will not pull credits from your system or show that the Likes have occurred until we have verification.

IMPORTANT: The max for Facebook Likes on a regular non-Facebook site is 40,000 per URL. For a Facebook Fan Page the max is 1000 total for each unique URL.

3. Friending module reactivated
Due to previous performance issues we deactivated the friending module. This will now be reactivated again and will make automated friending/following requests on all networks that support this feature. This will provide a more complete profile for new accounts in order to conform to the higher standards we are constantly seeking for every part of the SYNND engine. Considering the huge amount of accounts we've got in our system this will take a while to become visible, as we do not want to encounter any suspension issues.

4. Avatar/Profile module newly introduced
We now have a module that takes care of profiles and avatar images on all the networks that support this feature to increase the natural authentication components that are normally present on quality social based networks. The same is true for this module as for the previous one with regard to the time it will take to become visible on all sites.

5. New Press Release Module Coming Soon:
We are very close to implementing a new Press Release module. Because this is an intermediate solution we are not able to integrate it fully into SYNND. But we hope to have it partially integrated; enough so that you can set it up or at least access it within your SYNND interface. This new system has produced excellent results in our testing center and we feel it will quickly become a popular means of syndication for members who are willing to spend time learning how to write an effective Press Release. The SEO impact of this system convinced us to get it into circulation ASAP. We will cover more about this new module prior to release, including sharing some of our testing results, what makes this different from other systems, and pricing. We are planning on offering SYNND members a significant discount versus non-SYNND members.

6. Blog Commenting Update:
Recently we eliminated the capacity for a SYNND member to contribute a blog comment to a member blog. The main reason for this is that we had too many SYNND members who were violating the guidelines we put in place for comments and consequently we received a regular flow of complaints from our members about the extremely poor comments they were receiving. But fear not…

In order to keep Blog Comments active, we have trained a professional team of writers who are doing an exceptional job of adding comments to your blog based on its theme or topic. The feedback that we have received has been very good. We encourage you to test our Blog Commenting Module with SYNND to see if this is a feature that fits your business style and goals. Get in there and try it out…like many others who have realized the value from both an SEO and social proof standpoint, you may find yourself hooked.

Closing Notes:
We have many other additions and refinements we expect to add to the ongoing expansion of the SYNND network. Major companies and industry experts continue to transition to SYNND. They speak highly of the fact that with all of Google’s updates, they have seen an IMPROVEMENT in performance, with other systems/techniques becoming less effective. We fully expect this to continue. We thank our many faithful users who have supported us and believed in our long term vision for this syndication technology. The best really is yet to come.

If you have a special way that you apply SYNND to make your marketing campaigns effective, please jump into the forum and share your secret with your fellow SYNND members. One good bit of advice often begets another and before long we might see many of these strategies passed among our members…with great results for all.

Thanks

Joerg and the SYNND Team
